When Apple released Mac OS X, they killed the SimpleText file format. I suppose with just cause, it's not compatible with Microsoft Windows PCs. Cross compatibility is a big issue these days. However, what about all the poor saps, like us, who have been loyally using it for years? Do we have to move all our documents to "Text Edit"? No! Blaze can read AND write SimpleText files in Mac OS 8.6 through Mac OS X.
