BizDB Product Quote Generator is an add on product of our Web based BizDB database software. You must have either "BizDB Starter" or "BizDB Standard" or "BizDB Advance" installed on your Web site first before you can install and use this software.
BizDB Product Quote Generator offers the following features:
1. Support all search and report functions currently provided by the BizDB Advance software.
2. Each user can perform multiple search requests on your BizDB database and then select the products he wants to see in the quotation report. The selected products list is temporarily stored in a shopping cart so that it can be reviewed and updated easily. When the product list is ready, the user can request the software to generate a detailed quotation report to a specified e-mail address. The style and the content of the "Quotation" e-mail message are controlled by a template which can be easily installed by you.
3. All database fields, screen looks and report layouts are controlled by Html templates. You can modify the templates any time you like without affecting the operations of the production database.
4. As an optional feature, the software can log the user's e-mail address and the information of all products processed for the user on a "Quotation Log" database which can be viewed later by the Webmaster. The "Quotation Log" database uses the standard BizDB format.
5. This software when working with our BizDB Database software will be a useful productivity tool for the small business operators to retrieve and send pricing information to their customers electronically. If installed on a public domain database, it will be a powerful product quote generator.
Application: Almost any type of databases (such as jobs, properties and products) for which the user is allowed to search for any interested product information (including prices) and then e-mail the selected contents back to the user's specified e-mail address. Also suitable for privately used Web sites.
This software is delivered in the form of a ZIP file which contains all the cgi scripts (Perl codes), the sample Html templates and a comprehensive installation and user documentation.
